Discovering North Italy
Last year, on our way to Puglia to shoot a Styled session (and visit my family, of course), I decided to stop in the North part of Italy to show Joey how different it is from the South.
We briefly stopped in Milan, to say CIAO to my close friend, and then we headed to Venice, which was on Joey bucket list for long time.
I have to admit, I used to study close to Venice and I never loved it as in “Oh My God, it’s my favorite city!!”… I went there a couple of time, liked how different it is and… and that’s it! Let’s say I never fall in love with Venice!
And then… Then we arrived at the Santa Lucia Train station, got out of the train and it was pouring rain… Like pouring rain! And my words to Joey were: “Told you was going to rain!” … Went to buy an ombrella, held our two big luggages and walk to meet the Airbnb person, who, of course wasn’t there!
Well, we are in Italy, an aperitivo is welcome pretty much at any time of the day. So, we waited in front of a Spritz and some snacks. After all the bureaucracy was taken care of, the rain passed and we went for a walk…
It’s nevertheless to say I magically fell in love with Venice… Maybe it was Joey’s presence, but I could feel the romance in every step of our walk… We walked and eat and drink and walk and walk and walk for 2 days…
Went to the magic island of Burano and Murano and… We totally loved the color and atmosphere and I definitely imagined doing a styled shot in those tiny colorful street!
I let you see it yourself…The first two shots are the “Guglie” in Milan… the Duomo di Milano, started at the end of 1300, is an amazing gothic cathedral that will take your breath away! We went up to its roof and snapped a couple of shots…
Enjoy!
