Why the name Apke Photography?
The answer is back in time, when I was in middle school…
I was always super artsy, I loved drawing and to be a cool kid, you had to “invent” your signature, so here it was APKE:
A is the last letter of my name in reverse order;
P is from my last name;
K is the “special” letter;
E is the first letter in my name in reverse order!
I kept it because it always remind me of the artistic side of my brain…
I have a special love for my two mutt dogs (Pabuf and Tebow), my handsome husband (Joey) and the outdoor.
My husband made me discover the Appalachian mountains and I fall in love with it for so many reasons!
Growing up, going to the beach, in the warm mediterranean sea, was my escape from daily routine. My region doesn’t have mountain, we have some of the nicest beaches you can find in Italy. So I always considered my self a beach person until I arrived in Virginia!
When I’m not shooting a wedding, you can find me camping over night or just hiking up in the Shenandoah mountains.
I express myself best when I use the magic warm light to capture the most genuine laughs. In my portfolio you will not see static poses or fake smiles. My photos are on the move. They are images of emotions, hugs, kisses ... hands holding each other , teasing glances and sincere smiles. With photography I want to show you your real YOU!
I love having my camera on hands all the time, to capture those moments I’m afraid to loose.
